Viagra orodispersible tablets (or ODT) work in the same way as normal viagra except that this time the tablets melt in your mouth. This type of medication, known as PDE5 inhibitors are very effective treatments for Erectile dysfunction.
The tablet is placed on the tongue and it begins to dissolve so that it becomes easier to swallow.
How quickly does it work?
Approximately the same time as the normal tablets, 30 mins to 1 hour.
Are there any special recommendations on how and when to take it?
It is still best taken on an empty stomach as oil rich food can delay absorption and how effective it is. Taken roughly 30 mins to 1 hour before sex is ideal.
Side effects?
This will be the same as the standard tablets and includes, headaches, facial redness, heartburn and possible muscular pains.
Does it interact with other medication?
The only medication that it cannot be used with is nitrate based medication, which are commonly used for patients with heart problems.
What is the taste like?
It is described as lemony in flavour but some mention a slightly bitter aftertaste.
